This complex project will deliver a new state of the art hybrid operating theatre and upgraded staff facilities for the Hospital. The works will be completed without impacting hospital services being delivered in the existing adjacent operating theatres, which will remain fully operational. The new theatre will also be complimented by expanded recovery and ICU capabilities. The project scope includes the construction and staging of external building works to form the outside shell of the structure to house the hybrid theatre. Included in this structure will be a temporary redirected public and patient access corridor. It is anticipated that the new staff facility will be constructed in unison with the external hybrid theatre works to allow staff and services to be decanted to the new facility to allow internal hybrid theatre works to commence. The external works will require detailed planning and coordination in close collaboration with critical stakeholders, to ensure that all obstacles are considered, and to minimise any impact on patients and visitors.
